6. Property Photography, 3D Capture and Digital Building Information

R24 provides services involving photography, video, floor plans, LiDAR scanning, 3D Virtual Tours and other forms of digital property capture.

These technologies may record a detailed representation of a building or property.

Depending on the circumstances, captures may contain:

  • images of internal spaces;

  • external areas;

  • personal possessions;

  • signage;

  • documents visible within a property;

  • people present at the time of capture; or

  • other information associated with the property.

R24 seeks to collect only the information reasonably required to perform the service.

Where appropriate, we may ask clients or site representatives to prepare an area before capture, remove sensitive material or arrange for occupants to leave areas being photographed or scanned.

Clients engaging R24 to photograph or digitally capture a property are responsible for ensuring they have any authority or permissions reasonably required to provide R24 with access to that property.

7. Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Quality Assurance

R24 uses artificial intelligence (AI), automation and other technology to support the delivery, administration and quality assurance of our services.

AI-assisted tools may be used for activities including:

  • reviewing and quality-checking Tax Depreciation Schedules;

  • identifying potential inconsistencies, omissions or errors in reports;

  • comparing report information against supporting property or project information;

  • assisting with document and report review;

  • organising and summarising information;

  • preparing draft documentation and communications;

  • workflow and administrative support;

  • customer enquiry management;

  • research;

  • internal business analysis;

  • preparing or reviewing website and marketing content; and

  • improving the consistency and efficiency of our services.

AI is used to support R24 personnel and does not remove the responsibility of our team to apply appropriate professional judgement and oversight.

AI-Assisted Quality Control of Tax Depreciation Reports

R24 may use AI-assisted systems as part of the quality-control process for Tax Depreciation Schedules.

An AI-assisted quality review may analyse information contained within or associated with a Tax Depreciation Schedule to identify potential:

  • calculation inconsistencies;

  • missing information;

  • unusual values;

  • inconsistencies between report sections;

  • discrepancies between inspection information and report content;

  • asset classification issues;

  • formatting or completeness issues; or

  • other matters requiring further review.

Information processed during this quality-control process may include:

  • property addresses;

  • property and building information;

  • construction information;

  • renovation and improvement information;

  • inspection notes;

  • photographs;

  • depreciation calculations;

  • asset information;

  • report contents;

  • supporting documents; and

  • other information reasonably required to assess the accuracy and completeness of the report.

Where this information includes personal information, it will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

AI-assisted quality control is designed to provide an additional review layer and does not independently approve or issue an R24 Tax Depreciation Schedule.

AI-generated findings, recommendations or flags may be incorrect, incomplete or require additional context.

Appropriately authorised R24 personnel remain responsible for reviewing relevant issues and determining whether a Tax Depreciation Schedule is ready for completion and delivery.

Protecting Information When Using AI

When using AI and automated technologies, R24 takes reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to:

  • use information reasonably necessary for the relevant task;

  • minimise unnecessary personal or confidential information;

  • use systems considered appropriate for business and professional purposes;

  • consider the privacy, confidentiality and security arrangements of technology providers;

  • restrict access to information where appropriate;

  • maintain appropriate human oversight;

  • review AI-assisted outputs where accuracy or professional judgement is important; and

  • maintain responsibility for final work produced by R24.

R24 does not treat AI-generated information as automatically correct or as a substitute for appropriate professional review.

R24 does not intentionally provide personal information to AI systems for the purpose of training general-purpose public AI models.

8. Automated Decision-Making

R24 may use automated systems and AI to support quality assurance, routine administration, workflow management and other internal business processes.

For example, an AI-assisted system may identify an issue within a report and recommend that information be reviewed by an R24 team member.

AI-assisted quality-control systems do not independently:

  • determine a client's entitlement to depreciation deductions;

  • approve a Tax Depreciation Schedule;

  • issue professional reports;

  • determine whether a client can access R24 services; or

  • make significant decisions concerning an individual's rights or interests.

Important professional decisions remain subject to appropriate human involvement and oversight.

If R24's use of automated decision-making changes materially, including where computer programs are used to make or substantially and directly assist with decisions that may significantly affect individuals, we will review our privacy practices and this Privacy Policy accordingly.

You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by:

  • using the unsubscribe option included in the communication; or

Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending communications reasonably necessary to provide services you have requested or to administer an existing client relationship.

Where R24 accepts electronic or card payments, payment information may be processed through third-party financial institutions or payment providers.

R24 does not generally need to retain complete payment card details where payment is processed securely by a third-party provider.

You may request access to personal information R24 holds about you.

To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this Privacy Policy.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access.

In some circumstances we may be permitted or required by law to refuse access to some information. If this occurs, we will generally explain the reason where we are permitted to do so.

17. Correcting Your Personal Information

R24 seeks to maintain information that is accurate, complete, relevant and up to date.
